Steak and Biscuits

Biscuit Recipe

INGREDIENTS

2 cups of all purpose flour

1 T baking powder

1 t salt

¼ c shortening

Milk as needed


DIRECTIONS

In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt together. Using a pastry cutter, incorporate the shortening into the flour mixture. Add milk as needed to make a dough. Roll out the dough to about 1 inch. Using a biscuit cutter, cut biscuits and place on a greased baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown


Steak

INGREDIENTS

Filet Mignon

Bonnie’s RV Kitchen Seasoning (or seasoning of your choice)

2 T Butter


DIRECTIONS

Season steak on all sides. Melt butter in a frying pan and add the seasoned steak. Using a top to the pan, cover the steak and let cook until you reach the desired temp. Remove steak and place on cutting board and let rest for a few minutes. Slice steak and place on hot buttered biscuits.




NOTE: You may be tempted to use butter instead of shortening for biscuit recipe, but the butter will not bake like the shortening.
